Course Description:
Process mapping requires consistent dedication to work flows. Process mapping allows the student to observe what process was established, regardless of the process being “right” or “wrong”. Studying the process maps allows the student to view problems and/or opportunities clearly and objectively. Upon completion, the student can then make the determination if the maps are correct or incorrect and have the ability to modify as needed in a holistic, service-based approach.
This highly engaging course is designed to allow participants to experience the fundamentals of a process map for routine assessment, management and improvement within their organization.

The Process Mapping Bootcamp course will be of interest to:
- Individuals who have the interest in understanding how processes work and identify improvement opportunities.
- Individuals needing to report on process efficiency and effectiveness.
- Management staff who have a need to create process flows, maps.
- Anyone needing to better understand the “how to’s” of process management lifecycle.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the learner will gain competencies in:
- Understanding how to identify your business processes.
- Knowing the importance of documenting current business processes.
- Identify the efficiency and effectiveness of existing business processes.
- Identify which processes need improvement.
- Understand how to identify and reduce risks.
- Identify non-value added processes.
- Determine existing process bottlenecks.
- Measurement and reporting via KPI’s and CSF’s.
Course Organizational Logistics:
- A maximum of 20 people can attend this course with 1 instructor.
- Classroom with U-shaped seating arrangement.
- Flex room allowing for students to walk around as exercises are being conducted.
- Whiteboard, flipchart, projector. Other flip charts will be provided for exercises.
- Course runs 08:00 – 5:00 each day.
Prerequisites:
No prerequisites are needed for this course. It is however, best if student understands basic concepts of processes, roles, responsibilities and IT Service Management basics
